National Transmission has a service area on the Colorado Western Slope, Roaring Fork Valley, and the I70 towns west of Vail Valley. If you live west of Vail, Avon, Beaver Creek, you should consider having your transmission repaired with National. This includes all towns on the I70 corridor such as Eagle, Gypsum, Edwards. Towns west of Glenwood Springs like New Castle, Parachute, Rifle, and Silt should bring their transmission problems to National. Aspen, Snowmass, Basalt, Carbondale and Glenwood Springs are the primary service area for National Transmission. We service Redstone, Marble as well. We are Aspen transmission services, Snowmass transmission repair, and Basalt transmission repair. For Carbondale transmission repair, National is your choice too. All of these service areas are on this side of Vail pass, and within 1 hour of National Transmission.

Shift Kit “Fixes”
We use TransGO Shift Kits in all rebuilds and we are also a member of TransGO support and the Better Business Bureau.
Transmission: What the Shift Kit will fix:
700 -Installing a TransGO shift kit will correct/prevent/reduce: late hard shifts or no 4th, 1-2 soft, bang or slide bump, cut loose 2-3 shift, highway cruise falls out of 4th, converter shudder.
AX4N - Installing a TransGO shift kit will fix: goes into neutral at a stop, no forward, planet burn up, no 4th, 2nd clutch failure, long slide 1-2 shift, rough shifts and piston seal blow off due to runaway pressure.
AXODE - Installing a TransGO shift kit will correct/prevent/reduce: planet burn up, kick-down runaway, no up-shift, 2nd clutch failure, rough shift, long shift, neutral on slow corners.
44-55E - Installing a TransGO shift kit will correct/prevent/reduce: forward clutch failure, 2/3 cut loose, hard throttle 2/3 slip, 4th and 2nd band failure, coast 3/2 clunk, won’t move.
4T60E - Installing a TransGO shift kit will correct/prevent/reduce: converter shudder/slip. Lockup on top of 2nd, falls in and out of lockup, won’t lockup, delayed 3rd or no 3rd cold.
45RFE -Installing a TransGO shift kit will: repair valve body and pump, prevent clutch burn up, rough lockup, broken springs.
4L80E - Installing a TransGO shift kit will correct/prevent/reduce: no lockup and 4th hot, hard shifts and no 4th, direct clutch slippage, prevents metal partials by separating shafts, hot idle forward clutch slip, aborts lockup and 4th, reverse delay, bind up in reverse when hot, high pressure parts breakage, direct clutch burn up, rough 1-2 shift, no up-shifts, low pressure due to solenoid filter breakup.
4R100/E4OD - Installing a TransGO shift kit will: double the holding power of the L/R clutches in manual low, prevents downhill clutch burn up, a must when using exhaust brake or loaded downgrade use, reduces 2nd clutch burn up.
5R110W - Installing a TransGO shift kit will correct/prevent/reduce: case lugs blow out, runaway reverse pressure, slips or no reverse, neutrals at stop signs.
4T60E/4T65E - Installing a TransGO shift kit will correct: no 2-3 up-shift cold, delayed 2-3 cold, 2-3 slide or runaway, seal splits or tears, seal flips sideways, 3rd clutch failure, long shifts, hard shifts, chatter with heavy acceleration from stop, no lockup or 4th.
604 - Installing a TransGO shift kit will fix: limp or burnt OD clutches.
TFOD Diesel - Installing a TransGO shift kit will: increase torque capacity, lockup and shift firmness, and reduce drain back.
4L60E - Installing a TransGO shift kit will correct/prevent/reduce: check engine blinking, brutal 1-2 shift, converter slip shudder, converter slip shudder, burn-up, erratic pump slide bounce that wears out pump and valve bores, bump-bump 1-2 or 2-3 shift rear planet or bushing burn-up, 2nd band failure.
